Gisele Bundchen was born to father Valdir and mother Vania Bundchen. They both belong to german root. Gisele has 5 sister named Gabriela, Rafaela, Raquel, Graziela and Patricia. At the young age, she wanted to become a professional volleyball player and wanted to play for the country but she was very thin which hampered her progress as a volleyball player.

When Gisele Bundchen was 13, her mother insisted her for joining a modeling course so she started taking training under instructor Dilson Stein. Next year she got a chance for a cat walk in sao Paulo where Gisele was picked up by Elite agents and got a chance to appear for Elite look of the year contest. She stood second in that contest which gave her immediate fame and improved her confidence, after this she did not look back and got fourth position in world contest. But oft-told story is that she was picked by modeling agent when she was eating in McDonald.

In 1996, Gisele Bundchen moved to Models’ heaven city, New York. She never had to regret for her decision of coming to New York. She did her debut with Fashion Week and later she was chosen for VH1 model of the year award. Next year Vogue declared her model of the Millenium. Her fame started touching the roof and subsequently she appeared on the cover page of rolling stone magazine, Gisele was just the fourth model to get this opportunity.

Till now Gisele Bundchen has been appeared for many famous advertising campaigns like Christian Dior, missoni, Versace, Lanvin, Ralph Lauren. One can imagine how famous she was from that fact that a clothing company increased its sale by 30% using her for advertising campaign. Gisele has her own line of sandals named Ipanema Gisele Bundchen, which has sold over 100 million pairs in last 5 years.

Gisele Bundchen owns a hotel as well in southern Brazil. She has worked with many famous photographer like Mario Testino, Rankin, Nick Knight, Mert and Marcus, Mario Sorrenti. Gisele has graced the cover of numerous magazines like The Face, Time, Forbes, ELLE, Maria Claire, Harper’s Bazaar etc. She has even appeared in two movies Taxi and The Devil Wears Prada.

In personal life, Gisele Bundchen has not been so successful. Though she has dated with lots of models and actors but has not been able to find the love for life. Initially Gisele dated with model Scott Barnhill for a short time and after this break off, she was heard of dating with Vikram Chatwal and Josh Hartnett but nothing lasted long. After that she had a long time love with Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio but they broke off in 2005. After that Gisele Bundchen was in love with actor chris Evans for some time and currently she is dating with Tom Brady.
